| One day the Southard family decided to move to Chicago. Major
Taylor's mother wouldn't let him go even though he wanted to. This completely changed his
life. He got himself a job as an errand boy. He used the bike that the Southards allowed
him to keep for delivering newspapers. Riding his bike for newspaper
deliveries improved his speed and strength. He also taught himself how to do tricks on his
bike. The money that he earned delivering newspapers went to his poor family for living
expenses. |
