February, 1998

February may be the shortest month, but there sure are plenty of events packed into it. "Thisday" has resources for all of the February holidays, and also for celebrating Black History Month and the Winter Olympics.

Spend a few minutes with ME and see what there is to see. This month, ME continues her ongoing series of features for investigating the senses with a focus on sight.

The "BioPoint" students take over this month and offer the student point-of-view about DNA fingerprinting. They used gel electrophoresis to fragment DNA samples and discover the unique code known as the "fingerprint." Mystery solved.

Have you ever felt the EARTHFORCE? When the earth quakes, rivers rage, and volcanoes erupt, the earth's force is felt. The "Spotlight" features a new resource for investigating EARTHFORCE everyday.
